A planned takeover deal by Amazon.com for US$1.7billion, announced in August 2022, collapsed in January 2024 amid antitrust scrutiny by the European Commission. The company filed for bankruptcy in December 2025 and was acquired by Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Picea Robotics (Picea), their primary designer for their new line of robots.
